Peace Lutheran Church: serving God, the community, and the people of our church. There's a place for you here at Peace.
Our mission is to insure that the congregation is informed of all aspects of life at Peace. We are responsible for the monthly newsletter, the church directory, and all internal and external communications concerning Peace. To learn more, or to join our ministry, please contact Dale Hupp.
Our ministry serves to provide the foundation for a lifetime of faith and Christian growth in learners of all ages. We provide Sunday School classes for all ages, conduct a Christmas program, organize and hold annual Vacation Bible School, and many other events throughout the year. Volunteers are needed as teachers, leaders, helpers, coordinators, and more.
The mission of the Fellowship team is to organize and sponsor activities that foster friendship and fellowship, integrating current and new members, and to share our faith as one in Christ with out congregation and community. We do this through such events as the annual Congregational Picnic, progressive dinners, Rally Days, tree trimming, and many more. To learn more, or to join our ministry, please contact Mary Oliver
Throughout the Bible, God instructs each of us to be good stewards of our money; to act responsibly, protect, share, and give accordingly. This is the role the Finance Ministry plays for our congregation. We serve to insure that the financial intentions of the congregation are being met and that we're acting responsibly with the gifts and offerings given by ach of us. There are many opportunities to serve in this important mission. To learn more, or to join our ministry, please contact Wendell Anderson
Our ministry reaches out and invites our neighbors and others to join us in worship and to a place at Christ's table. We welcome visitors and encourage them to share the Bread of Life around our table of worship and fellowship. We sponsor new members. Our goal is to fulfill the Great Commandment given to us by Jesus, to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. For more information or to join this ministry, contact Mary Oliver.
Our ministry serves the Lord and the people of Peace by providing the maintenance, security upkeep, and improvement of the physical property of Peace Lutheran Church. We are responsible for all aspects of church property, from insurance, to purchasing.
Our ministry exists to serve in response to God's love to meet human needs, caring for the sick and the aged, advocating dignity and justice for all people, working for peace and reconciliation among the nations and standing with the poor and powerless, and committing itself to their needs. We sponsor the Food Pantry, Angel's Watch, Hughesville Women's Shelter, Christmas in April, and many other special programs.
Our lives are gifts from God. We are given everything in this life, ourselves, our time, and our possessions, all given because God loves us beyond our ability to comprehend. Stewardship is about what we do with those gifts, and returning a portion of everything back to God. Our ministry is about helping the children of God give back to God through time, talent, and treasure. We encourage all to return to God first from those three categories of gifts. To learn more or to join our ministry, please contact Daryl Faustini
Planning, preparing for, and helping to lead the weekly and other special worship services at Peace are the responsibilities of this ministry. Working with the Pastor, we provide support for Altar Care, bulletin production, children's worship time, sound, music, the liturgical environment, and other aspects of the service. To learn more, please contact Ginny Wolford
Our mission is to provide a positive, encouraging atmosphere for youth of all ages where they can grow spiritually closer to God while enjoying fellowship in fun activities, events, and while serving others. The Youth Committee meets quarterly to plan upcoming events. We encourage middle and high school youth to volunteer Marcie Robinson.
